The South Effingham High School NJROTC was recently designated a Distinguished Unit with Academic Honors for the 2016-2017 school year by the Naval Service Training Command. Cadet Michael Garcia received an Air Force ROTC scholarship to Valdosta State while Cadet David Allen received a Navy ROTC scholarship to Tuskegee University.
